Budapest was the venue for the celebration of this ICT meeting.
Hungary celebrated last week the ´ICT Proposers Day´, a networking conference for entities from the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) at European level. This encounter, organized by the Directorate General of Information Society from the European Commission in collaboration with the Hungarian National Office of Investigation and Technology, served as an open window to knowledge and collaboration.
The Andalusian Centre of Innovation and Information and Communication Technologies (CITIC), member of the Andalusian Technology Network (RETA), attended this meeting with the objective to amplify its horizon by creating collaboration agreements for the participation in R&D European projects and other activities.
The exhibition site of the Hungexpo in Budapest, where the conference took place, was divided in different areas, in accordance to the different strategic lines of investigation of the workprogram. More than 1.500 persons visited the venue, which was organized with the participation of different members of the European Commission. Many proposals were presented by the entities and there were special facilities for informal encounters, where CITIC participated actively in order to establish new contacts. This combination between conferences and interchange of ideas resulted very effective.
The assistance of CITIC to this encounter has been very positive; the Technological Centre has made contacts with different organizations such as universities, companies, health centers and technological centers at the European level, which will reinforce the internationalization of its investigation.
The support of CITAndalucÃa for the promotion of Andalusian entities in the Seventh Framework Program has made the assistance of CITIC to this encounter also possible.
