CITIC is active in the development and management of R&D proposals, the design and development of R&D projects and the transfer of technology to the business area of ICT. The objective of CITIC is to stimulate and strengthen technological innovation and development processes at a national and international level by realizing relevant and interesting projects in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

The Technology Transfer Office (TTO nº 205) is assisting CITIC in these activities as a separate entity inside the Centre. This office is a link between the Technological Centre, the university and the business area, with the overall objective to stimulate the relationship between the three entities, stimulating the transfer of scientific technical outcomes of the Centre and the university to the productive sector.
