The strategy adopted by CITIC consists in acting as a link between the knowledge of the university and the necessities of society and industry. This enables CITIC to realize R&D projects, transfer developed technology and favor the implantation into society through the Technology Transfer Office (TTO). This process has generated a knowledge and culture of technological cooperation that makes CITIC a pioneer in regulating the dynamic relationship between the different agents in the Spanish System of Technology and Science (SECTE). The objectives of CITIC are:
- University-company synergy
- Transfer of research results
- High level training in R&D
Vision
To achieve a leading position in the business world, as a strategic ally because of its knowledge, in any of the R&D&i actions in the field of ICT and the Information Society.
Values
In CITIC we have set as an objective to act according to a scale of values that we consider key in aligning everyone’s behaviour and to reach the objectives of our Foundation project.
These principles make up the structure of our Code of Ethics that each person that works for CITIC must follow, independently of the position that he carries out or the nature of his contractual relation with CITIC, and they define us as an organisation.
They are the following:
• Creativity and Innovation: the generation of new ideas or concepts, or of new associations among known ideas and concepts, that usually produce original solutions, but always aimed at their application in the real world.
• Interest and respect for People: the persons that make up CITIC are its most important capital and, for that reason, caring for the relations and the work environment are key in our organisation.
• Teamwork: The existence of a favourable attitude for thinking and working collectively, in order to collaborate and integrate within a working group directing their efforts toward achieving common goals. This is our day-to-day.
• Dynamism and youth: we are a flexible, young, changing organisation always looking for new ways to act and to adapt to the setting that surrounds us. Change as an opportunity.
• Compromise and professionalism: in relation with our obligations with our sponsors, public administrations and other entities with which we establish collaboration agreements.
