First of all, I would like to welcome you and I hope that the information you find here will be of interest to you. This renovated web portal is designed with the intention to serve as a window to the technological world. A window through which we will show you what we can offer, and through which you can contact us whenever you want to.

The acronym CITIC stands for Andalusian Centre of Innovation and Information and Communication Technologies. The purpose of CITIC is to develop projects, with a focus on Innovation and Research and Development (R&D) in the area of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), to satisfy the technological needs of the social community and the business sector. Our portfolio of projects has the intention to contribute to the expansion and solidity of the business sector, improving the competitivity and productivity, as well as the social progress in general. To reach this objective CITIC complies with high criteria of quality, efficiency, professionalism, commitment and environment protection, thereby reaching levels of excellence in the activities on which we embark.

The last few years have been an important period for the development and expansion of the Technological Centre, starting 2009 with a clear idea on the expansion of the objectives as well on the boundaries that we intend to defy. We began the year with another step towards the European territory and reached our objectives of internationalization. Since the foundation in the year 2002, CITIC has consolidated its position as a Technological Centre of reference at the local level as well as at the national level. It is part of The Andalusian Technology Network (RETA) and the Network of Research and Technology Centers of the Ministry of Education and Science. In the present, our ambition to broaden our horizon has become reality due to the development of projects at European level.

The success of the developed activities by the Centre during its existence, guarantees our working method and indicates the stability and well functioning of all the components of the organization. Our staff is working day after day with enthusiasm on the defined strategy and suggesting new ideas in order to improve continuously. This team of active people constitutes one of the fundamental engines of the Centre.

The dynamic nature of the technological area in which we move, demands a constant adaptation from our part in order to reach a sustainable improvement and grow in time.

In CITIC we start this new phase with hope, and we are convinced that, with the development of new ICT tools, we will reach a new way of thinking, working and living, contributing to the creation of a more supportive and advanced society.
